How To Look Fashionable On A Small Budget

We all like to look luxurious and fashionable but sometimes our budget won't let us make a complete wardrobe change or get new tailored pieces as most gurus recommend. 

This list will show you 5 ways to look better on a small budget.

1. Make sure your silhouette shows off your body type.

No matter what you own, there are ways to style your clothes in order to look good. If you are more petite/thin, try to make sure your clothes are as form-fitting as much as possible so that you don't look overwhelmed or small. Whereas the thicker you are, the more you should aim to have a more varied silhouette, i.e. peplum tops, bishop sleeves. Also, don't tuck in your shirts into your pants if you can help it.

2. Be strategic in your jewelry. Pick out one bracelet- preferably a cuff or simple bracelet and wear it at all times. Pair it with a cute watch and that is a look. It will become a part of your ensemble. Also try and pick out a simple necklace which matches with the bracelet at least in color, style or size. These items add a subtle class to everything you wear so they should be classic.

3. Add a hat. Yes, even those goofy floppy sunhats when you are on the beach. Take them off indoors but when you are just moving around, a hat can embellish any look from just ok to straight-up luxury.

4. Try and keep your clothes tightly coordinated by color. Try different color co-ordinations e.g. white and olive-green; white/ rose pastel with tweed. Plan your outfits with this in mind. If you can get your shoes to match the top/ jacket you're wearing then you know you've won. Try different combinations but always make sure there is only one outstanding color. 

5. The way you carry yourself. Make sure you sit up straight, hold your head up high. The confidence in the way you move and conduct yourself will make or break everything you wear. There is nothing more attractive than someone who moves like they appreciate themselves. So head up high, smile (if you want to) and move like you know your worth.
